Marie Anne is a former Marine, having retired as a MSgt after more than 21 years of service. During her career, she wrote countless citations for decorations and awards, performance evaluations, and military orders and directives, which included input on classified operation plans and operation orders. The attention to detail that's second nature in military life has continued to serve her well since hanging up her uniform.
Marie Anne now writes for both fun and profit, the latter from publication on Yahoo! Contributor Network, where her works may be seen on Yahoo! News, Shine, Your Wisdom and even a few on Sports. A Featured Contributor in Crafts under a previous program, she is currently featured in the Pets category.
Recipient of the Top 1000 Content Producer award in 2009 and 2010, Marie Anne consistently remains in the top 500 each month at YCN for amount of content viewed, and several months has made it to the top 100.
With two sons grown and on their own, Marie Anne’s household now consists of two dogs, several cats and a back yard full of chickens. When not gardening or tending to critters, she enjoys crocheting items for gift-giving and to donate to veterans at the local VA hospital, and other charitable organizations.
