I have several blogs and purchased domain names for most of them, which meant that the feedburner subscriptions would change also. I decided to leave the old ones in place so as not to confuse my current subscribers, but made a new feed for the new domain name URL also.
Feedburner isn't the most user-friendly application I've ever used, and I hope this information helps some other sorry souls who have been pulling their hair out over what should be a simple fix.
The downside to this was that those who subscribed through the old feed got email with the old name of the blog as the subject and header, which I obviously didn't like since I changed the name of the blogs when I bought the domains. It was frustrating for me (and I'm sure confusing to my subscribers) to see an email with subject and header that read Every Day Crochet when the blog name was now The Crooked Yarn.
I went to my account at feedburner and changed everything I could think of, saved it again and again, and still I received emails with the old name. Frustration mounting, I turned to facebook friends for help and after several failed attempts, the solution was isolated. I know I can't be the only person who couldn't figure this out, so here's what to do:
1 - Log in to your feedburner account and click on My Feeds at the top near your name
2 - Click on the name of the feed that you want to alter
3 - Click the tab marked Publicize
4 - Click Email Subscriptions in the left sidebar
5 - Click Email Branding in the left sidebar
6 - Type the name of your blog (or whatever you choose) in the Email Subject/Title spot
(if you want the title of the individual post to show up instead of the blog name, follow the instructions under HOT TIP on that page).

7 - Click Save at the bottom of the page

Thanks MA. I always get confused about feeds. Still working on what I need to do on my own blog as well where that is concerned. If you see anything I can do, let me know. Great post!
